Twin Peaks: Season 3, Part 13 "What Story is that, Charlie?" Review

 "You didn't kill him too good, Ray" -Renzo Part 13 picks up with the Mitchum Brothers (Jim Belushi and Robert Knepper) and Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) dancing their way into the office of Bushnell Mullins (Don Murray) to give him presents in celebration.  The Mitchum Brothers also send a new playset to Cooper's house for Sonny Jim (Pierce Gagnon).  Anthony Sinclair (Tom Sizemore) calls Duncan Todd (Patrick Fischler) to tell him the new development and Todd gives Anthony one day to kill Cooper.  Anthony takes Cooper out for coffee and tries to poison him, but changes his mind.  He dumps the coffee out, apologizes, and goes to Mullins to confess. Mr. C (Kyle MacLachlan) arrives at the Farm, a building in western Montana housing a criminal organization, led by Renzo (Derek Mears).  Both Ray Monroe (George Griffith) and Richard Horne (Eamon Farren) are also hiding out there.  Renzo lets Mr. C in and challenges him to an arm wrestling competition.  If Renzo wins, Mr. C

Twin Peaks: Season 3, Part 12 "Let's Rock" Review

 "Shovel your way out of the shit and into the truth." -Dr. Jacoby Part 12 kicks off with Gordon Cole (David Lynch) and Albert Rosenfield (Miguel Ferrer) explaining what Blue Rose cases are to Agent Tammy Preston (Chrysta Bell).  They invite her to join the Blue Rose task force, which investigates cases that were involved with Project Blue Book.  They reveal that the task force was originally led by Phillip Jeffries (David Bowie) and that the other members were Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) and Chet Desmond (Chris Isaak), all of whom disappeared under mysterious circumstances.  They later bring Diane (Laura Dern) in as an official member of their current investigation. Diane gets a text message from Mr. C (Kyle MacLachlan), who asks her if the Agents have asked about Las Vegas yet, to which she replies they haven't.  Albert intercepts those texts and informs Gordon.  Diane takes a look at the coordinates found on the arm of Ruth Davenport (Mary Stofle) and discovers they

The Watchers (2024) Review

 "Try not to die." -Mina While traveling through a forest in Ireland, Mina's (Dakota Fanning) car breaks down.  She quickly gets lost in the woods before being finding shelter in a strange room with one large, mirrored window.  The three residents explain that they can't leave the shelter at night because there are creatures outside that want to watch them, and if they try to leave, they'll be killed. Some spoilers below.  This movie isn't very good. What Works: I love the idea of this movie.  I saw the trailer and got really excited.  This is a great premise and a really creepy idea.  Some of the scenes early on that were shown to us in the trailer capture this premise well and deliver what it promises.  It's too bad it doesn't last. The film is very well shot.  There are some beautiful shots of the Irish landscape and the woods themselves are very creepy.  The atmosphere is nice and creepy thanks to the cinematography and the lighting.
