Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans, Episode 12 "Inconceivable" Gameplay Breakdown
"I gotta go back to school."
-Joe Hunter
Well, this sucks. We lost the last two players I was actually rooting for this season. I don't really want any of the Final 5 to win. I don't really dislike them, but I'm not rooting for them either. I'm just kind of...whatever...on the finale, I suppose. I get why Devens and Cirie were voted out. It makes sense, but I don't have to like it. Anyway, let's get into who played well and who sucked.
Starting with the Final 7...
Who Played Well:
Getting rid of Devens was a good move for everyone. He was probably the biggest threat to win at this point, so I get why it was a unanimous vote. It was especially good for Joe, who helped take down his biggest adversary in the game by winning Immunity.
Jonathan did his part by babysitting Devens while he was out looking for an Idol. I wish we would have seen some of the other players have this level of initiative. I love the babysitting strategy and good on Jonathan for doing it well enough that Devens didn't find the Idol.
Cirie protected her closest ally, Rizo, from Tiffany and helped keep the vote targeted on Devens.
Rizo held onto his Idol, once again, and even though he may annoy some people, I'll still give him a net positive.
Tiffany may not have gotten her way with the vote, but getting rid of Devens was still a good thing for her.
Who Sucked:
None of the remaining players ended up in this category.
As for Devens, unless he won Immunity or found an Idol, he was pretty much a dead man walking here. He had to go and I don't blame anyone for getting rid of him.
Verdict:
Best Player of the Final 7 goes to Jonathan Young for babysitting Devens to prevent him from getting an Idol and then voting him out.
There is no Worst Player of the Final 7.
Moving onto the Final 6...
Who Played Well:
Once again, Cirie going home was the right move, so good for Joe, Jonathan, Aubry, and Rizo for getting rid of her. She had to go or she was going to win. This was especially good for Aubry because she was the other person in danger. She managed to convince Joe and Jonathan to stick with her and take out Cirie.
Rizo managed to hold onto his Idol once again and guaranteed himself a place in the Final 4. He also picked a good time to cut his closest ally.
Tiffany may have been on the wrong side of the vote, but she was the original target and saved herself by winning Immunity. I'll give her a net positive for that.
Who Sucked:
Again, none of the remaining players played badly.
As for Cirie, I think she was always going to go home around this spot. She's a great person to keep around because she has such a massive target, but isn't going to win Immunity. It's honestly amazing she made it as far as she did. She's the best to never win, that's for damn sure.
Verdict:
Best Player of the Final 6 is Rizo Velovic for holding onto his Idol and taking out Cirie.
There is no Worst Player of the Final 7.
Finale time. I think Aubry is winning and it's a shame it's this predictable. I just hope we get rid of forced fire-making at the Final 4. Otherwise...whatever.
